I'm quite familiar with running and maintaining a Linux server, but I'm far from being an expert, nor am I the richest person in the world. Below are the following things I could use help with. If you think you can help with any of them, email contact+help@youhavewrites.net.
- Packaging PHP 8.x for Devuan 4.x "Chimaera"
- PHP 8.x is starting to be required by several services I wish to run, e.g. I had to drop support for Movim and I am running an outdated version of Pixelfed because they now require PHP 8.x.
- When Devuan 5.x "Daedalus" gets released as stable, this will change to packaging PHP 7.x as Friendica (and possibly MediaWiki -- I haven't checked) still requires PHP 7.x.
- I am aware of the sury.org repository, but those packages depend on systemd, something not available through the Devuan repositories. Learning dpkg has been a challenge for me (I'll take rpm any day...), so I wouldn't mind getting some help here, and I can provide hosting for the packages.
- Wiki
- The wiki is quite baren and needs to be filled in quite a bit.
- I need help getting the infobox (the thing you see on the right side of many Wikipedia articles) and references working. It may be awhile before I can figure out MediaWiki's templates.
